Description

This Slow Cooker Cranberry Glazed Brisket is a mouthwatering, tender beef brisket slow-cooked in a tangy-sweet cranberry sauce. Itโ€™s the perfect holiday or weeknight dinner, packed with bold flavors and easy to prepare. A must-try comfort food that feeds a crowd!


Ingredients

2.5 to 3 pounds beef brisket

1 can (14 oz) whole berry cranberry sauce

1 cup beef broth

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 large yellow onion, sliced

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

1. Season the brisket generously with salt and pepper.

2. In a hot skillet over medium-high heat, sear the brisket on all sides until browned.

3. In a bowl, whisk together the cranberry sauce, beef broth, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce.

4. Pour half of the cranberry mixture into the bottom of the slow cooker.

5. Add sliced onion and garlic on top of the sauce.

6. Place the seared brisket into the slow cooker.

7. Pour the remaining cranberry mixture over the brisket.

8. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours until fork-tender.

9. Remove the brisket from the cooker and slice against the grain.

10. Serve warm with the cranberry glaze spooned on top.

Notes

Let the brisket rest before slicing to retain juices.

Searing the brisket adds extra flavor, but you can skip it if pressed for time.

Be sure to slice against the grain for the most tender bite.
