Ingredients

1 pound kielbasa sausage, sliced

1 small head green cabbage, chopped

1 ½ pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, quartered

1 medium yellow onion, diced

2 cups chicken broth

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons unsalted butter


Instructions

1. Slice the kielbasa into ½-inch rounds and set aside.

2. Chop the cabbage, dice the onion, mince the garlic, and quarter the potatoes.

3. Place the potatoes at the bottom of the slow cooker.

4. Layer cabbage, onion, and garlic over the potatoes.

5. Place kielbasa slices on top.

6. Pour chicken broth evenly over all the ingredients.

7. Season with salt and pepper.

8. Dot the top with pieces of butter.

9. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours.

10. Stir gently before serving and enjoy hot.

Notes

This dish gets more flavorful the next day, making it perfect for leftovers.

You can swap Yukon Gold potatoes for red potatoes if desired.

For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of smoked paprika or a splash of apple cider vinegar before serving.
