½ cup milk
⅓ cup melted butter

1 cup brown sugar
1½ cups hot water
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
3. Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
4. Pour batter into the prepared dish and spread evenly.
5. In another bowl, mix the brown sugar with the remaining 4 tablespoons of cocoa powder and sprinkle evenly over the batter.
6. Carefully pour the hot water over the top—do not stir.
7. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the top is crusty and the edges are bubbling.
