Description
Spaghetti Garlic Bread Bowls are a cheesy, cozy dinner made with buttery garlic bread bowls filled with saucy spaghetti, mozzarella, Parmesan, and classic Italian flavors for an easy comfort food meal.
Ingredients
4 round crusty bread bowls
12 ounces spaghetti
2 cups marinara sauce
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti until al dente. Drain well.
3. Toss the hot spaghetti with the marinara sauce until evenly coated.
4. In a small bowl, stir together the melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
5. Slice the tops off the bread bowls and hollow out the centers, leaving a sturdy shell.
6. Brush the insides of each bread bowl generously with the garlic butter mixture.
7. Fill each bread bowl with sauced spaghetti, twisting the pasta in with tongs for neat portions.
8. Top each bowl with mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese.
9. Place the filled bread bowls on a baking sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the bread is lightly crisp.
10. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Use sturdy sourdough or crusty Italian rolls so the bowls hold their shape after filling.
Do not overcook the spaghetti before baking or it can turn too soft in the oven.
For extra flavor, add a spoonful of sauce under the cheese before baking.
