Ingredients
400g bowtie pasta
250g ground beef
200g smoked sausage, sliced
2 tbsp olive oil
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp butter
1 small onion, diced
1 red bell pepper, diced
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
2. In the same skillet, sear the sliced smoked sausage until golden. Remove and combine with the beef.
3. Melt butter in the skillet. Add diced onion and red bell pepper. Sauté until soft. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
4. Pour in chicken broth and stir in heavy cream. Season with Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes. Simmer for 5 minutes.
5. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions in a separate pot. Drain and set aside.
6. Add cooked pasta, beef, and sausage into the sauce. Stir and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
7. Stir in grated Parmesan until melted and smooth.
8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley or more Parmesan if desired.
Notes
Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.
Adjust Cajun seasoning to taste for more or less heat.
To reheat, use a splash of cream or broth to refresh the sauce.
