Description

Spooky Boo-schetta is the ultimate Halloween appetizer made with toasted baguette, juicy tomato topping, and ghost-shaped mozzarella. Ingredients

16 slices baguette

1 ½ cups cherry tomatoes

2 cloves garlic

2 tablespoons olive oil

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

¼ cup fresh basil

8 slices mozzarella cheese

8 black olives


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F and arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet.

2. Brush both sides of the bread with olive oil and toast for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway.

3. Dice cherry tomatoes and place in a bowl.

4. Mince garlic and add it to the tomatoes with chopped basil.

5. Drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and mix well.

6. Use a ghost-shaped cutter or knife to cut mozzarella into ghost shapes.

7. Top each toasted baguette slice with the tomato mixture.

8. Add a mozzarella ghost to each toast.

9. Slice black olives into pieces to make eyes or spider shapes.

10. Serve immediately while bread is crisp and cheese is soft.

Notes

Let the tomato mixture sit for 10 minutes before assembling to deepen flavor.

Use fresh mozzarella slices for easier cutting and better texture.

Assemble just before serving to keep the bread crisp.
