Description

This Steakhouse Burger Sloppy Joes recipe brings bold steakhouse flavors to your dinner table in under 30 minutes. Made with juicy ground beef, cheddar cheese, and a rich savory sauce, these sloppy joes are the ultimate comfort food. Perfect for weeknight meals or game day, and packed with all the flavor of a steakhouse burger in sandwich form.

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 medium yellow onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup ketchup

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1/3 cup beef broth

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 tablespoon yellow mustard

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

6 burger buns, toasted

Instructions

1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a bit of oil. Sauté the diced onions until soft and golden, about 5 minutes.

2. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

3. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned. Drain excess fat.

4. Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, mustard, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.

5. Reduce the heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and fully incorporated.

6. Spoon the mixture onto toasted burger buns and serve hot. Add optional toppings like crispy onions or pickles if desired.

Notes

Use 80/20 ground beef for best flavor and texture.

To make it ahead, store the meat mixture separately and assemble when ready to eat.

Add pickles or crispy onions for texture and an extra pop of flavor.
