Description
These Strawberry Cheesecake Donuts are fluffy, golden fried treats filled with rich cream cheese and topped with juicy strawberries. The perfect dessert or brunch idea with cheesecake flavor in every bite! Ideal for donut lovers and cheesecake fans alike.
Ingredients
3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
¼ cup granulated sugar
2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
1 cup warm milk
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
½ cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon granulated sugar (for strawberries)
Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
Instructions
1. In a bowl, combine warm milk, 1 teaspoon of sugar, and yeast. Let it foam for 5–10 minutes.
2. Add remaining sugar, melted butter, eggs, and flour. Mix to form a dough.
3. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic. Let it rise until doubled in size.
4. Roll out the dough and cut into round shapes. Let rise again until puffy.
5. Heat oil to 350°F and fry donuts until golden on both sides. Let cool.
6. Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
7. Fill donuts with cheesecake mixture using a piping bag.
8. Toss diced strawberries with sugar and lemon juice.
9. Spoon strawberries on top of each donut and serve.
Notes
These are best served fresh and slightly warm.
Store in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
You can bake the donuts instead of frying for a lighter version.
