Made with crispy taco shells, rich cheesecake filling, and a nostalgic strawberry crunch topping, this handheld treat is ideal for summer parties or cozy nights in. A must-try for lovers of strawberry shortcake and cheesecake-inspired sweets!
Ingredients
16 small flour tortillas
16 oz cream cheese
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
20 Golden Oreos
1 packet (3 oz) strawberry gelatin powder
1 cup fresh strawberries (optional, for garnish)
Vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
1. Cut the flour tortillas into smaller circles using a cookie cutter or small bowl. Heat oil in a skillet, then fry each circle until golden and crispy. Fold gently into taco shapes while frying and let them cool on paper towels.
2. Crush the Golden Oreos and combine them with strawberry gelatin powder until fully mixed. Set aside for the topping.
3. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
4. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold it into the cream cheese mixture to create a fluffy cheesecake filling.
5. Spoon or pipe the filling into the cooled taco shells.
6. Top each taco with the strawberry crunch topping and garnish with fresh strawberry slices if desired.
7. Serve chilled or store in the fridge until ready to enjoy.
Notes
These tacos are best served chilled for optimal texture.
You can roll the fried shells in cinnamon sugar for extra flavor.
Add chocolate drizzle or white chocolate chips for a fun twist.
