Ingredients
24 sheets phyllo dough or 24 mini phyllo shells
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 cup caramel sauce, warmed
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. If using phyllo sheets, cut them into squares and layer 5–6 sheets per mini muffin tin, brushing each with butter. Rotate each layer slightly.
2. If using pre-made phyllo shells, place them directly onto a baking sheet.
3. In a bowl, mix chopped pecans, brown sugar, cinnamon, and honey until combined and sticky.
4. Spoon a heaping teaspoon of the pecan mixture into each phyllo cup without overfilling.
5. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until edges turn golden brown and crisp. Watch carefully to avoid burning.
6. Let cool for a few minutes and drizzle each cup with warm caramel sauce.
7. Allow caramel to set slightly before serving.
Notes
Use a damp towel to keep phyllo sheets from drying out.
Toast the pecans lightly before mixing for added flavor.
Drizzle caramel while the cups are still warm so it absorbs slightly into the filling.
