Ingredients
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup warm water
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
3 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix until dough forms. Knead on floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth.
3. Transfer to greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled.
4. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning.
5. Punch down dough and roll into a rectangle. Spread garlic butter, then top with cheeses.
6. Roll dough tightly into a log, slice lengthwise, and twist the two halves together.
7. Place in parchment-lined loaf pan. Cover and rise for 30 minutes.
8. Bake at 350°F for 35–40 minutes until golden and bubbly. Cool slightly before slicing.
Notes
This bread freezes beautifully in slices—wrap individually.
