Description

This Taco Bell Mexican Pizza copycat recipe is a crunchy, cheesy favorite made with crispy tortillas, seasoned beef, refried beans, and zesty sauce. The best homemade fast food comfort dish with Mexican-inspired flavors, ready in minutes. Perfect for family dinners or nostalgic cravings.


Ingredients

2 corn tortillas per pizza

1/3 lb ground beef

1/2 cup refried beans

1 tablespoon taco seasoning

3 tablespoons enchilada or pizza sauce

1/2 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese

1/4 cup diced tomatoes

2 tablespoons neutral oil (for frying)


Instructions

1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until cooked through. Add taco seasoning and a splash of water, simmer until thickened, then set aside.

2. In a separate skillet, heat oil and fry the corn tortillas until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.

3. On a baking sheet, layer one crisp tortilla with refried beans and seasoned beef. Top with a second tortilla.

4. Spread enchilada or pizza sauce over the top, sprinkle with shredded cheese, and scatter diced tomatoes.

5. Bake at 400°F for 10 minutes until the cheese melts and bubbles. Let cool slightly and slice to serve.
