These Thanksgiving hors d’oeuvres appetizers are perfect for your holiday gatherings. Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry
6 oz brie cheese, cubed
½ cup cranberry sauce
¼ cup chopped pecans, toasted
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup fresh spinach
12 phyllo shells
2 tbsp honey
1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
Instructions
1. Thaw the puff pastry and preheat oven to 375°F.
2. Cut puff pastry into 2-inch squares and place into mini muffin tin cups.
3. Add a cube of brie, a small spoon of cranberry sauce, and chopped pecans on top of each.
4. Bake for 12–15 minutes until puffed and golden.
5. Meanwhile, sauté spinach in a pan until wilted.
6. Mix sautéed spinach with softened cream cheese and a pinch of salt.
7. Spoon the spinach mixture into phyllo shells and place on a baking sheet.
8. Bake phyllo shells for 8–10 minutes until warmed through.
9. Drizzle honey over baked brie bites and garnish with fresh thyme.
10. Serve warm or at room temperature on a festive platter.
Notes
Use a sharp knife to cube brie evenly so it melts consistently.
Make the cranberry sauce yourself for a more vibrant flavor.
Toast the pecans lightly in a pan for deeper nutty aroma.
