Description

This Best Christmas Jam Recipe blends sweet strawberries, tart cranberries, zesty orange, and warm holiday spices into a festive homemade jam. Perfect for gifting or serving, this small batch preserves the holiday spirit in every spoonful. Make it ahead, freeze it, or spread it on everything from biscuits to brie. Keywords: Christmas jam, holiday jam recipe, cranberry strawberry jam, festive preserves.

Ingredients

2 cups strawberries, chopped

2 cups cranberries

1 orange, zested and juiced

2 tablespoons bottled lemon juice

4 cups granulated sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

1 pouch liquid fruit pectin (3 oz)

Instructions

1. Wash and hull the strawberries if using fresh. Roughly chop or pulse in a food processor. Repeat with cranberries.

2. In a large pot, combine strawberries, cranberries, orange juice, zest, lemon juice, cinnamon, and cloves. Stir in the sugar.

3. Bring mixture to a full rolling boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly.

4. Add the liquid fruit pectin. Boil hard for 1 to 2 minutes. Remove from heat and skim off any foam.

5. Carefully ladle hot jam into sterilized jars, leaving 1/4 inch headspace. Wipe rims, seal, and cool.

6. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks or freeze for up to 6 months.

Notes

This jam makes excellent holiday gifts when poured into mason jars with ribbon.

Adjust spices to taste; you can increase cinnamon or add nutmeg for variation.

Always use bottled lemon juice for consistent acidity in preserving.
