Description

This hot cocoa in a crock pot is the ultimate cozy drink for winter, made with creamy milk, rich chocolate, and a touch of vanilla. Perfect for parties, holidays, or a quiet night in. A slow cooker hot chocolate recipe that’s thick, comforting, and crowd-pleasing.

Ingredients

6 cups whole milk

2 cups heavy cream

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 pinch salt

Instructions

1. Pour whole milk, heavy cream, and sweetened condensed milk into the crock pot.

2. Whisk in the unsweetened cocoa powder until mostly blended.

3. Add the semi-sweet chocolate chips, vanilla extract, and pinch of salt.

4. Stir everything together to begin melting the chocolate.

5. Cook on low heat for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.

6. Once chocolate is fully melted and smooth, stir well and reduce heat to “warm.”

7. Serve with optional toppings like whipped cream or marshmallows.

Notes

This recipe serves 10 to 12 people.

Stir occasionally during cooking for even melting.

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat gently.
