Description

This Thousand Island Dressing recipe is creamy, tangy, and sweet with simple pantry staples. A perfect homemade salad dressing, burger spread, or dip that’s better than store-bought. Great for sandwiches, salads, and appetizers.

Ingredients

1 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup ketchup

2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish

1 teaspoon white vinegar

1 tablespoon finely minced yellow onion

1/4 teaspoon salt

Optional: a dash of hot sauce or paprika

Instructions

1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise and ketchup until fully blended.

2. Stir in the sweet pickle relish, vinegar, and finely minced onion. Mix thoroughly.

3. Add salt to taste and, if desired, add a dash of hot sauce or paprika. Mix again.

4. Cover and chill the dressing for at least 30 minutes before serving.

5. Stir before using and enjoy as a dressing, dip, or sandwich spread.

Notes

Let it chill: Letting it sit in the fridge helps the flavors blend beautifully.

Use fresh onion: Finely minced fresh onion adds the perfect bite.

Customize: Add hot sauce for a spicier kick or a bit of lemon juice for extra brightness.
