Ingredients
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
¾ cup grated parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium heat.
3. Sear chicken on both sides until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, melt remaining butter and sauté the garlic until fragrant.
5. Pour in chicken broth, scraping up browned bits from the pan.
6. Add heavy cream, parmesan, and Italian seasoning. Stir well and let simmer to thicken.
7. Return chicken to the skillet and coat with the sauce. Simmer 5 minutes more.
8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
