Description

A bold and flavorful Ultimate Seafood Boil recipe packed with snow crab, shrimp, sausage, potatoes, and corn in a rich garlic butter sauce. Perfect for gatherings and seafood lovers. Discover the best seafood boil ingredients, step-by-step instructions, and serving ideas for a Southern-style feast.

Ingredients

2 pounds snow crab legs

2 pounds large shrimp, shell-on

1 pound andouille sausage, sliced

4 ears corn on the cob, halved

1.5 pounds baby potatoes

2 lemons, halved

4 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning

6 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup unsalted butter

3 bay leaves

Salt, to taste

Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

1. Cut corn, slice sausage, halve potatoes, and rinse seafood. Set aside.

2. In a large stockpot, fill halfway with water. Add bay leaves, lemons, Old Bay, and salt. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes.

3. Add potatoes to boiling water and cook for 10 minutes.

4. Add corn and cook for another 5 minutes.

5. Add sausage and crab legs, simmer for 5 to 7 minutes.

6. Add shrimp and cook until pink and curled, about 2 to 3 minutes.

7. In a saucepan, melt butter and add garlic. Stir in Old Bay and lemon juice. Simmer until fragrant.

8. Drain seafood and vegetables. Transfer to a serving tray or table.

9. Pour garlic butter sauce over everything and toss gently to coat. Serve immediately.

Notes

Seafood is best cooked fresh; avoid overcooking shrimp.

Shell-on shrimp add more flavor to the broth.

Use unsalted butter to control salt levels, as Old Bay already contains salt.
