Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

3 ½ cups powdered sugar, sifted

Instructions

1. Add the softened butter to a large bowl. Using a hand or stand mixer, beat on medium speed for 3 to 4 minutes until light and fluffy.

2. Gradually add powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing on low to combine. Scrape the sides as needed.

3. Once the sugar is fully incorporated, increase to medium speed and beat for another 2 minutes.

4. Add heavy cream, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix on low until combined.

5. Beat on high speed for another 2 minutes until the frosting is light and airy.

6. Adjust the consistency if needed. Add more cream to loosen or powdered sugar to thicken.
