2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2.75 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
0.5 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
0.75 cup white chocolate chips
Flaky sea salt for topping
Instructions
1. Cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
2. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture just until combined.
5. Fold in the semi-sweet and white chocolate chips evenly.
6. Chill the dough for at least 1 hour.
7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
8. Scoop dough onto baking sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are golden.
9. Sprinkle with sea salt immediately after baking.
10. Let cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Use room temperature butter for the best creaming consistency.
Chilling the dough enhances flavor and helps control spreading.
Add a dash of clove or allspice for a deeper winter spice profile.
