Ingredients
1 ripe banana
½ cup Greek yogurt
¾ cup almond milk
¼ cup orange juice
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon cinnamon
⅛ teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup ice cubes
1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
Instructions
1. Peel and slice the banana (freeze it beforehand if you prefer a thicker texture).
2. Add the banana, Greek yogurt, almond milk, orange juice, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ice cubes to a high-speed blender.
3. Blend on high until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
4. Taste and, if needed, add honey or maple syrup. Blend briefly again.
5. Pour into a glass and serve immediately. Garnish with cinnamon or an orange slice if desired.
Notes
This smoothie is best enjoyed fresh, but can be refrigerated for up to 24 hours.
Swap Greek yogurt with coconut yogurt for a dairy-free version.
Freezing the banana first gives it a milkshake-like consistency.
