Description

Chicken Lasagna Bake is a creamy, cheesy pasta casserole made with tender shredded chicken, lasagna noodles, ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, and rich Alfredo sauce for an easy comfort food dinner the whole family will love.


Ingredients

12 lasagna noodles

3 cups cooked shredded chicken

15 ounces ricotta cheese

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided

3 cups Alfredo sauce

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley


Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. Cook the lasagna noodles in salted water until just tender, then drain and lay them flat.

3. In a large bowl, mix the shredded chicken, ricotta cheese, softened cream cheese, 2 cups mozzarella, 1/2 cup Parmesan, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper until creamy and well combined.

4. Spread 3/4 cup Alfredo sauce across the bottom of the baking dish.

5. Add a layer of lasagna noodles, then spread one-third of the chicken mixture over them.

6. Spoon Alfredo sauce over the chicken layer, then repeat the layers two more times.

7. Finish with a final layer of noodles, the remaining Alfredo sauce, 1 cup mozzarella, and the remaining 1/2 cup Parmesan.

8. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.

9. Remove the foil and bake for 10 to 15 minutes more, until the cheese is melted and lightly golden.

10. Let the Chicken Lasagna Bake rest for 10 to 15 minutes, then sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve.

Notes

This casserole works especially well with rotisserie chicken because it adds extra flavor and saves time.

Letting the lasagna rest before slicing helps the layers hold together much better.

If you want a little freshness, add a layer of chopped spinach between the chicken filling and sauce.
