Description
Classic Spinach Dip Pinwheels are a creamy, easy appetizer made with spinach, cream cheese, sour cream, and tortillas, then sliced into bite-sized pinwheels perfect for parties, holiday platters, lunch prep, and make-ahead snacks.
Ingredients
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
10 oz frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
4 large flour tortillas
Instructions
1. Thaw the spinach completely and squeeze out as much moisture as possible using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
3. Fold the drained spinach into the cheese mixture until evenly combined.
4. Lay the flour tortillas flat on a clean surface.
5. Divide the spinach filling evenly among the tortillas and spread it all the way to the edges.
6. Roll each tortilla up tightly into a log.
7. Wrap each roll in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
8. Unwrap the chilled rolls and slice into even pinwheels with a sharp knife.
9. Arrange on a platter and serve chilled.
Notes
Make sure the spinach is very well drained so the filling stays thick and easy to roll.
Let the cream cheese soften fully before mixing so the filling turns out smooth.
For the cleanest slices, chill the tortilla rolls well and wipe the knife between cuts.
