Description

Easy Pecan Pie Bark is a crisp, buttery dessert loaded with caramelized brown sugar and crunchy pecans, giving you all the flavor of classic pecan pie in an easy bark recipe that is perfect for holidays, cookie trays, and make ahead dessert platters.

Ingredients

40 saltine crackers

1 cup unsalted butter

1 cup brown sugar

2 cups pecan halves

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a rimmed baking sheet or jelly roll pan with parchment paper or foil. Arrange the saltine crackers in a single even layer.

2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and brown sugar together, stirring until smooth.

3. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil and cook for 3 minutes, stirring often, until glossy and slightly thickened.

4. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt.

5. Carefully pour the hot caramel mixture over the crackers and spread it gently to cover the surface.

6. Scatter the pecan halves evenly over the top.

7. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until the topping is bubbling all over.

8. Remove from the oven and let the bark cool completely in the pan.

9. Lift the bark out and break it into pieces before serving.

Notes

For the best texture, let the bark cool completely before breaking it into pieces.

Use parchment paper if you want the easiest cleanup and smooth release from the pan.

A small sprinkle of flaky salt on top after baking gives the bark a deeper sweet and salty flavor.
