Description

Glow-Up Pizza Night is an easy homemade pizza recipe with a crispy crust, melty mozzarella, rich pizza sauce, and classic toppings like pepperoni, bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms for a fun family dinner or cozy weekend pizza night.

Ingredients

1 pizza dough ball, about 1 pound

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 cup pizza sauce

2 cups low-moisture mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated

20 slices pepperoni

1/2 green bell pepper, thinly sliced

1/4 red onion, thinly sliced

1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, optional

6 fresh basil leaves, torn

2 tablespoons cornmeal or flour, for dusting

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 475°F and place a pizza stone, steel, or baking sheet inside to heat.

2. Lightly dust a pizza peel, pizza pan, or flat baking sheet with cornmeal or flour.

3. Stretch the pizza dough into a 12-inch round on a lightly floured surface.

4. Transfer the dough to the prepared surface and brush the outer edge with olive oil.

5. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edge.

6. Sprinkle the mozzarella over the sauce, then add the Parmesan.

7. Arrange the pepperoni, bell pepper, red onion, and mushrooms evenly over the cheese.

8. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning and crushed red pepper flakes if using.

9. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.

10. Remove from the oven, rest for 2 to 3 minutes, then top with fresh basil, slice, and serve.

Notes

Use low-moisture mozzarella so the pizza stays cheesy without turning watery.

Do not overload the dough with too many toppings or the center may bake up soft.

For the crispiest crust, bake on a preheated pizza stone or steel if you have one.
