Description

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter

2 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips


Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat, then remove it from the heat.

3. Whisk the sugar into the melted butter until glossy.

4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, then whisk until smooth and slightly thickened.

5. Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt just until combined.

6. Fold in the chocolate chips.

7. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.

8. Bake for 28 to 32 minutes, until the edges are set and a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.

9. Cool completely before slicing and serving.

Notes

Do not overmix the batter after adding the flour or the brownies can turn out less tender.

For extra fudgy brownies, pull them from the oven when the center still looks slightly soft.

Letting the brownies cool fully gives you cleaner slices and a better texture.
