Description

Juicy Baked Turkey Breast is a tender, flavorful oven roasted turkey breast recipe made with butter, herbs, garlic, and simple pantry seasonings. This easy baked turkey breast stays moist, slices beautifully, and makes a perfect dinner for holidays, Sunday meals, or easy family dinners.

Ingredients

3 lb turkey breast

4 tbsp butter, softened

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp dried thyme

1 tsp dried rosemary

1 1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 cup chicken broth

1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a roasting pan or baking dish. Pour the chicken broth and lemon juice into the bottom of the pan.

2. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, rosemary, salt, and black pepper until combined.

3. Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels, then rub the herb butter mixture all over the top and sides.

4. Place the turkey breast in the prepared pan and roast uncovered for 60 to 90 minutes, or until the thickest part reaches 165°F.

5. Baste once or twice with the pan juices during roasting if desired for extra flavor and color.

6. Remove from the oven and let the turkey rest for 10 to 15 minutes before slicing.

7. Slice and serve warm with pan juices spooned over the top.

Notes

Use a meat thermometer for the best results and remove the turkey as soon as it reaches 165°F to avoid drying it out.

Letting the turkey rest before slicing helps keep the juices in the meat instead of on the cutting board.

For extra flavor, add a few fresh herb sprigs or garlic cloves to the baking dish while roasting.
