Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 packet taco seasoning

1 can (16 oz) refried beans

1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

1 cup sour cream

2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend

1 cup diced tomatoes

1/2 cup chopped green onions

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Jalapeño slices (optional for spice)

Tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned. Drain any excess grease. Add taco seasoning with a splash of water, stir well, and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Creamy Base: In a mixing bowl, combine refried beans, softened cream cheese, and sour cream. Stir until smooth.
  3. Assemble the Dip: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the creamy mixture in the bottom of a baking dish. Layer the seasoned beef on top, followed by the shredded cheese.
  4. Bake the Dip: Place the dish in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and top with diced tomatoes, green onions, cilantro, and jalapeño slices. Serve warm with tortilla chips.
