Description
Popcorn Cake is a fun no-bake dessert made with popped popcorn, melted marshmallows, butter, candy-coated chocolates, gummy candies, and sprinkles for a sweet, crunchy, colorful treat that is perfect for birthdays, movie nights, parties, and easy family desserts.
Ingredients
10 cups popped popcorn
5 cups mini marshmallows
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup candy-coated chocolates
1 cup gummy candies
1/4 cup sprinkles
nonstick spray for the pan
Instructions
1. Lightly grease a bundt pan or tube pan with nonstick spray. Place the popped popcorn in a very large mixing bowl and remove any unpopped kernels.
2. In a large pot over low heat, melt the butter. Add the mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
3. Stir in the vanilla extract and salt until fully combined.
4. Pour the marshmallow mixture over the popcorn and gently fold until the popcorn is evenly coated.
5. Add the candy-coated chocolates, gummy candies, and sprinkles, then mix gently to distribute them throughout the mixture.
6. Spoon the mixture into the prepared pan and lightly press it into shape with greased hands or the back of a spoon.
7. Let the cake sit at room temperature for 30 to 45 minutes, or until firm.
8. Carefully invert onto a serving plate, slice, and serve.
Notes
Use plain or lightly salted popcorn for the best sweet-and-salty balance.
Do not pack the mixture too tightly into the pan or the cake can become dense.
For the freshest texture, serve the same day or store tightly covered at room temperature for up to 2 days.
