Description

Quick and Easy Korean Ground Beef Bowl is a fast, flavorful dinner made with ground beef, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil, served over rice for an easy Korean-inspired meal that is perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce

2 tbsp brown sugar

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

1 tbsp sesame oil

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

3 cups cooked white rice

2 green onions, sliced

1 tsp sesame seeds

1 cup cucumber, sliced

1 cup shredded carrots


Instructions

1. Cook the white rice according to package directions and keep it warm.

2. Heat a large skillet over medium high heat and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease if needed.

3. Add the soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes to the skillet.

4. Stir well and cook for 2 to 3 more minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the beef.

5. Divide the warm rice among 4 bowls.

6. Spoon the Korean ground beef over the rice.

7. Top with sliced green onions, sesame seeds, cucumber, and shredded carrots.

8. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

This recipe works well with ground turkey if you want a lighter option.

For extra flavor, add a fried egg on top just before serving.

Store the beef separately from fresh toppings so leftovers stay fresh and crisp.
