Description
Spicy Cajun Garlic Butter Sauce is a bold, buttery sauce packed with garlic, Cajun seasoning, lemon juice, and a touch of heat, making it perfect for shrimp, chicken, salmon, pasta, and roasted vegetables.
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon hot sauce
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Melt the butter in a small skillet or saucepan over low heat until fully smooth.
2. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 to 60 seconds, stirring often, until fragrant.
3. Stir in the Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, crushed red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Let the spices bloom for about 20 seconds.
4. Add the lemon juice and hot sauce, then stir until the sauce looks glossy and well combined.
5. Remove from the heat and stir in the chopped parsley.
6. Taste and adjust with extra lemon juice, hot sauce, or seasoning if needed.
7. Serve warm over shrimp, chicken, salmon, pasta, potatoes, or vegetables.
Notes
Keep the heat low so the garlic does not burn and turn bitter.
For a milder sauce, reduce the crushed red pepper flakes and hot sauce.
This sauce thickens when chilled, so reheat it gently before serving leftovers.
