Description

The Best Homemade Fudgesicles are rich, creamy, and full of deep chocolate flavor, making them the perfect frozen dessert for summer days. Made with cocoa powder, milk, cream, and vanilla, these easy homemade fudgesicles have a smooth texture and a classic nostalgic taste everyone loves.


Ingredients

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

2 tablespoons cornstarch

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 cups whole milk

1 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together the sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt until evenly combined.

2. Slowly pour in the whole milk and heavy cream, whisking until the mixture is smooth and the cocoa is fully blended.

3. Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, whisking often, until the mixture slightly thickens, about 5 to 7 minutes.

4. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

5. Let the chocolate mixture cool for 10 to 15 minutes.

6. Pour the mixture into popsicle molds, leaving a little space at the top.

7. Insert popsicle sticks and freeze for at least 6 hours or until fully firm.

8. To unmold, run warm water over the outside of the molds for a few seconds, then gently pull out the fudgesicles and serve.

Notes

Use good quality cocoa powder for a deeper chocolate flavor.

Do not overcook the mixture or it may become too thick to pour easily into the molds.

For easy storage, unmold the fudgesicles and wrap each one individually before freezing again.
