Description

Crispy Parmesan Crusted Baked Salmon is an easy oven dinner with tender flaky salmon and a golden savory topping made with Parmesan, panko, and simple seasonings. It comes together fast and delivers a crisp cheesy finish that makes a weeknight meal feel a little more special.

Ingredients

4 salmon fillets

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/3 cup panko breadcrumbs

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet or baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

2. Pat the salmon fillets dry and place them skin side down on the prepared pan.

3. Season the salmon with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

4. In a small bowl, mix the Parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, olive oil, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and parsley until combined.

5. Spoon the Parmesan mixture evenly over the tops of the salmon fillets and gently press it into place.

6. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.

7. Broil for 1 to 2 minutes if you want the topping extra golden and crisp.

8. Remove from the oven, rest for 2 minutes, and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and crisp texture.

Pat the salmon dry before adding the topping so the crust sticks well.

Watch closely during broiling because the Parmesan topping can brown quickly.
